Group: What we learnt in the Filming Lesson:

During the filming briefing lesson on the 23rd January. We learnt about the key concepts of filming rules. These rules include:

• The 180 ° degree rule
• The Rule of Thirds
• Inter-cutting
• Eye-line Match
• Reaction Shots
• Motivated Cuts
• Prevalence
• Cutting on Action

We also learnt the basics of using the cameras. These included:

• How to insert (and remove) the battery, and the SD card, into (and out of) the camera safely.
• Remembering to open the lens-cap.
• How to set up the tripod stand, and followed by how to attach the camera to the stand.
• How to record.
• How to playback any data.

We put these into action during the following media lesson, on the 25th of January, and began to film our Preliminary Task.
